Almost 27 million people will need long-term care solutions by 2050, according to the Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Labor. Many long-term care patients have cognitive deficits, and often, caregivers lack adequate equipment to support cognitive training.

A new app created by The Learning Corp., called Constant Therapy, gives users a mobile cognitive training app that integrates digital speech, language and cognitive exercises, enabling patients to access brain exercises from their phone or tablet while remaining at home. Constant Therapy is collaborating with FirstLight Home Care to bring this device to non-medical caregivers.

Veterans struggling with speech or cognitive disorders will now be able to access therapy through Constant Therapy, a mobile app that provides supplemental coaching and motivation to patients. Veterans eligible for speech or cognitive therapy through the US Department of Veterans Affairs will now be able to use the app for free.

The Learning Corp (TLC) today announced that veterans eligible for speech or cognitive therapy through the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) are eligible to access the Constant Therapy mobile app at no cost to them. Constant Therapy is a tool for use by clinicians with patients to help with recovery from speech, language and cognitive disorders. As such it enables veterans with long-term disabilities due to traumatic brain injury, stroke or aphasia to obtain critical rehabilitation from the comfort of their home.
